Spend two nights immersed in the ancient Nyungwe National Park, one of Africa's oldest rainforests. Walk the thrilling canopy walkway suspended 50 meters above the forest floor, hike to hidden waterfalls, and spot chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, and exotic birds in their natural habitat.
Then retreat to the tranquil shores of Lake Kivu in Kibuye for a night. Enjoy a magical sunset boat ride, soak in the serenity, and wake up to stunning lake views. End your journey with a cultural tour of Kigali — visit the King's Palace, museums, and experience Rwanda's inspiring story of transformation.
Morning: Arrive at Kigali International Airport. Meet your English-speaking driver/guide. Private 4x4 transfer to Nyungwe National Park (approximately 5-6 hours).
En Route: Scenic drive through Rwanda's famous rolling hills — the "Land of a Thousand Hills." Pass through tea plantations and rural villages. Photo stops along the way.
Afternoon: Arrive at your lodge near Nyungwe. Check in and enjoy lunch (own expense).
Evening: Leisure time to relax and soak in the forest atmosphere. Optional nature walk around the lodge grounds.
Overnight: Nyungwe National Park.
Morning: Early breakfast at the lodge. Head to the Nyungwe Canopy Walkway — a suspended bridge 50 meters above the ancient rainforest floor. Walk among the treetops with breathtaking views of the forest canopy, valleys, and distant mountains.
Late Morning: Guided waterfall hike through the rainforest. Discover hidden cascades, lush vegetation, and diverse birdlife. Keep your eyes peeled for colobus monkeys and chimpanzees.

Overnight: Nyungwe National Park.

En Route: Beautiful drive along winding mountain roads with spectacular lake views emerging as you approach.
Afternoon: Arrive in Kibuye. Check into your lakeside accommodation. Lunch (own expense).
Late Afternoon: Sunset boat ride on Lake Kivu — glide across the calm waters as the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of gold, orange, and pink. One of Rwanda's most magical experiences.
Overnight: Kibuye, Lake Kivu.
Morning: Early breakfast by the lake. Check out and depart for Kigali (approximately 4-5 hours).
En Route: Scenic return journey through Rwanda's highlands.
Early Afternoon: Arrive in Kigali. Kigali City Tour — visit the King's Palace Museum in Nyanza to learn about Rwanda's monarchy, explore the Ethnographic Museum showcasing Rwanda's rich cultural heritage, and the Environmental Museum.
