Morocco's four imperial cities are each a different civilisation layered onto the same country. Marrakech is Berber and Arab, loud and warm. Casablanca is French-colonial and coastal. Rabat is the political and institutional capital. Fes is the medieval heart, home to the world's oldest continuously operating university and the largest car-free urban area on the planet. Seeing all four in one trip is the standard Moroccan itinerary for good reason.
Travel is by private air-conditioned minibus with an English-speaking driver-guide who handles every transition — medina parking, riad check-ins, and the tricky driving in Fez's outer ring. Hotels alternate between 4-star properties and traditional riads so you get both modern comfort and the Moroccan courtyard-house experience.

Arrival: Land at Marrakech Menara Airport. Private transfer to your riad in the medina.
Evening: First taste of Jemaa el-Fna — the storytellers, food stalls, and musicians that fill the square from dusk until late.
Overnight: Marrakech.

Morning: Breakfast at the riad. Guided walk through the medina — Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, and the Saadian Tombs.
Late Morning: Explore the souks — dyers' souk, leather souk, and the carpet souks. Learn to negotiate.
Afternoon: Visit the Majorelle Garden and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum.
Evening: Traditional Moroccan dinner with live music.
Overnight: Marrakech.

Morning: Breakfast and check out. Drive to Casablanca (approx. 3 hours).
Afternoon: Guided visit to the Hassan II Mosque — one of the largest in the world, built partly over the Atlantic. Visit the interior (for non-Muslims, subject to prayer times).
Evening: Walk the Corniche. Dinner at a seafood restaurant.
Overnight: Casablanca.

Morning: Breakfast and check out. Short drive to Rabat (approx. 1 hour).
Late Morning: Visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V.
Afternoon: Continue to Fes (approx. 3 hours). Check into your riad in the medina.
Evening: Dinner with a view over Fes from a rooftop restaurant.
Overnight: Fes.

Morning: Breakfast at riad. Full-day guided tour of Fes el-Bali — the world's largest car-free urban area. Visit Al-Qarawiyyin (the world's oldest continuously operating university), the Bou Inania Madrasa, and the Nejjarine Wood Museum.
Late Morning: Visit the Chaouwara Tanneries — the famous leather pits with their dozens of stone dye vats. (Fresh mint sprigs provided.)
Afternoon: Visit a zellige tile workshop and a ceramics cooperative. Continue to the Royal Palace gates and the Mellah (Jewish quarter).
Evening: Dinner at leisure. Fes is quieter than Marrakech; enjoy it.
Overnight: Fes.

Morning: Breakfast and check out. Drive to Meknes (approx. 1 hour).
Late Morning: Visit Bab Mansour — the most beautiful gate in Morocco — and the Heri es-Souani granaries.
Afternoon: Continue to Marrakech (approx. 5 hours). Check into your hotel or riad.
Evening: Farewell dinner on a rooftop overlooking Jemaa el-Fna.
Overnight: Marrakech.

Morning: Breakfast. Check out. Time for last shopping — argan oil, leather babouches, ceramics.
Transfer: Private transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport.
Farewell: Depart with the sounds of the medina in your ears. Bslama!
