Nairobi is the capital city of Kenya, and East Africa’s major safari centre. A short drive from the city takes you to the Bomas of Kenya, a cultural center. The Bomas (meaning homestead in Swahili) represent Kenya ‘s 16 ethnic groups. During your visit you will be entertained with a variety of cultural dances and music- and have an opportunity to learn about Kenya ‘s diverse ethnic groups.
Enjoy a morning or an afternoon drive in the National Park located within the city limits of Nairobi . Lion, rhino and a great variety of plains game can all be found within the borders of the park.
A visit to David Sheldrick will pay because you will get to learn how the young and orphaned Elephants are taken care of before they are later released back to the wild. it is normally opened from 1100 hrs to 12 midday every day of the week
Enjoy lunch or dinner at the popular Carnivore Restaurant which is famous for its succulent stew and barbecue dishes as an excellent complement to a holiday in Kenya, especially as a welcome or a farewell dinner. Begin with a visit to the former home of famous novelist Karen Von Blixen. The house contains many of her originals pieces along with some pieces donated by the makers of the film, Out of Africa Stop at the Kazuri Bead Factory where you have an opportunity to see how beads are made. Continue to the Giraffe Center where you have the opportunity to feed the Giraffe from an elevated platform.
Depart early morning from Nairobi and Drive towards the Rift Valley and have a stop over at the Rift Valley view point for some pictures. you will be passing some rift valley lakes like Lake Naivasha and Lake Elementaita. Lunch is taken in either Lake Nakuru lodge, Sarova Lionhill or at any picnic site while having a game drive around the Lake which is dominated by pink Flamingoes hence called ‘the pink lake’.
