Fly540 is one of the first low-cost airlines to operate in Africa (apart from the ones operating in South Africa). It is based in Nairobi (as are most airlines in Kenya) and started by offering flights between Nairobi and Mombasa in 2006. Fly540 flies to the following destinations within Kenya: Mombasa, Nairobi, Eldoret, Kakamega, Kitale, Kisimu, Lodwar, Lamu, Malindi and Masia Mara. It flies to the following African countries: Sudan, Tanzania, Burundi and Uganda. They are planning on expanding aggresively throughout Africa.
